Class: Homework – Emotional To-Do’s: This Weeks
(1) Make a plan of when you wish to start your business; the date so you can set the intention in place.
(2) What are your start up costs and monthly costs of having your business. Write them out.
(3) Does your business require a loan of any kind?
(4) Have your separate bank account set up and any bookkeeping system put together for you to start right away to help you get in the habit of doing this. And if your business requires an accountant; find one that makes sense to you so you know what they require / what papers gathered ahead of time before tax season is under way.
(5) Do your daily plan of empath empowerment to keep your energy up as you go. This is a must DO!

(1) “Why am I here?” or “What is the core reason for my existence or this business?”
(2) Write down 3–5 core values that represent the principles most important to you.
(3) Create a A vision statement which is a clear, aspirational description of what you ultimately want to achieve.
(4) Imagine 5–10 years from now. What impact do you want to have on others? Write it down with dynamic emotions.
(5) Create Your mission statement explains what you do, how you do it, and for whom. Make it actionable, with written out practical steps you are taking to reach your vision.
(6) Define Your Audience: Who are you serving?
(7) Write down an Outline of the “What” and “How” of your business
(8) Write out the Business Plan (this may change as you go through this buy it is important to know where you are headed now): write out the Structure of the business plan with an executive summary, marketing plan, and propose financial projections to start the ball rolling to you energetically.
(9) Emotional To-Do: Revisit the “why” behind your business and envision the impact you want to create in the community. Review: both statements and make adjustments so you have a clear movement forward.
(10) Print your statements, post them somewhere visible, committing to them, putting them into action this week.

(1) Define brand colors, logo, messaging, and core values. Set up a professional online presence with social media and if you are ready to have a webpage with a QR code let me know; webpage can be done later if you desire.
(2) Identify cost-effective marketing strategies for SLC like local social media, and community partnerships. Consider local advertising options (Salt Lake Tribune, city magazines, radio).
(3) Build a way to reach your customers. Set realistic sales goals and create a plan to reach them.
(4) Reflect on any resistance to self-promotion, affirming your readiness to share your offerings confidently.

(1) If you have not done last classes homework; do that.
(2) Customer service policies. How are you going to handle complaints? How fast are you responding to questions? Write it all down, so you don’t end up making things up on the fly when someone inevitably asks, “What’s your return policy?”
(3) How will you be maintaining the relationship after the sale?
(4) How will you be building community connections for networking and showing up?
